Peace Lily

Spathiphyllum

Toxic to dogs and cats

Peace lily is not a true lily, but it is still listed by the ASPCA as toxic to dogs and cats because it contains insoluble calcium oxalates.

Signs to watch for

Oral irritation, burning or irritation of the mouth, tongue, and lips, excessive drooling, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing.

What to do if your pet ate it

Remove plant pieces from reach, avoid forcing vomiting unless a veterinarian tells you to, and contact your veterinarian or poison control if your pet chewed or swallowed it.
