PawPlants uses real plant photographs only after both image rights and botanical identity are documented.
Approval requirements
- Original source and creator recorded
- License and commercial-use permission verified
- Attribution requirements preserved
- Species or cultivar identity reviewed
- Crop does not hide or distort identifying features
- Useful alternative text and caption created
What PawPlants will not do
PawPlants will not use AI-generated plant photographs, unrelated replacement images, uncertain scraped thumbnails, or a common-name label as proof of the species shown.
Missing image state
A useful plant record may publish without an image when its evidence is complete. The page will state that no verified image is available rather than showing a misleading substitute.
Report an image concern
Rights, attribution, or identity concerns receive their own correction category.
